it makes me sad that feminist scholarship only finds it important to read one chapter of La Frontera/Borderlands by Gloria Anzaldua (towards a new consciousness) because even though it is amazing and wonderful, the other chapters are so important to chican@s, heritage, and language

Hyperbole and a Half posted again, and everyone needs to read it because:
If you are depressed, it will resonate with you like whoa.
If you are not depressed, it will clarify some stereotypes about depression that need to be said. An explanation like this has been needed for a LONG time.
If you know someone who is depressed, you’ll be better at interacting with them after reading this.

OR if you have been depressed and have found any solace. I hate that that keeps being left out. Past experiences are just as important, even if you are seeing better days.

This is Jason Richwine, who argued in his Harvard dissertation that Latino immigrants have lower IQs than whites.

By CRISTINA COSTANTINI

Hispanic immigrants are dumb and their children will probably be dumb too. That’s the essence of the misguided 166-page Harvard dissertation published by Jason Richwine, who now works as a senior policy analyst for the conservative think tank, the Heritage Foundation.
